The Eid Al Adha celebrations will commence with Arafat Day.

The United Arab Emirates has delighted residents and visitors alike by announcing a four-day holiday to mark the occasion of Eid Al Adha 2024.

Following a decision by the UAE Cabinet, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and the UAE Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR) have officially declared the dates for the Eid Al Adha break.

The celebrations will commence with Arafat Day on Dhu Al Hijjah 9, corresponding to 15th June, followed by Eid Al Adha from Dhu Al Hijjah 10 to 12, spanning 16th to 18th June.

Eid Al Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is one of the most sacred periods in the Islamic calendar.

During this time, Muslims around the world engage in special prayers, feasts, and acts of charity, commemorating the unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim and his willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah.

The four-day holiday will provide residents and visitors with ample opportunities to partake in the festivities, gather with loved ones, and embrace the values of unity, compassion, and generosity that lie at the heart of this remarkable occasion.
