With the UAE National Day and Commemoration Day holidays coming soon, there will be a long weekend in UAE. The UAE cabinet has officially announced break from Thursday, 01st December to Saturday, 03rd December.
Sunday being a holiday in the UAE, work will resume on Monday, 05th December. The United Arab Emirates officially marks the annual Commemoration Day on 30th November. This is to celebrate the country’s martyrs and recognise their sacrifices and giving.
The day coincides with the date of the martyrdom of Salem Suhail bin Khamis, who died on 30th November, 1971, while performing his national duty. However, the holiday for Commemoration day is clubbed with the National Day celebrations from 01st to 03rd December.
The organising committee of the 51st National Day will put together an epic official show. Those who call UAE their home can be part of this celebration from 03rd to 11th November at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
There will be a live broadcast on 02nd December on the UAE National Day official website and on all local TV channels. The celebrations over the nine days will have more people to attend the epic show.
Get ready to plan for the long weekend in UAE.
