A rare 2015 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, previously owned by a member of the Saudi royal family, has smashed records by selling for an unprecedented $6 million through the online auction platform SBX Cars.

In a remarkable feat, SBX Cars has announced the sale of a Dubai-based 2015 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster for a staggering $6,000,000, setting a new benchmark as the most expensive car ever sold through an online-only auction platform.

This transaction surpasses the previous record held by a 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, which fetched $5,360,000 in 2022.

The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of only nine units ever produced, initially went under the hammer at an in-person auction in 2020 but failed to find a buyer despite an estimated price range of €4,500,000 to €5,500,000.

However, the ultra-rare supercar has now found its new owner through the digital realm of SBX Cars.

Boasting a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that delivers an impressive 740 HP, the Veneno Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a blistering 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 355 km/h.

Finished in a striking matte black with lime green accents and a black leather interior with lime green pinstriping, the vehicle exudes exclusivity and performance.

Remarkably, the Veneno Roadster sold through SBX Cars has only 1,778 kilometers on the odometer, making it virtually as good as new.

SBX Cars is not stopping there, as the platform is gearing up to auction the highly-anticipated Lotus Black & Gold Collection, the world’s largest collection of historic Lotus cars and rare assets from the John Player Special Formula One era.

This collection features over 25 rare lots, including Grand Prix racing cars and significant memorabilia, with the auction scheduled for September.

Additionally, SBX Cars aims to break another record by offering a Lamborghini Veneno Coupe, one of only three in existence, for auction in the near future.
