The festival of lights, also known as Diwali falls on 04th November. To add spark to this festive, a number of locations in Dubai will be Diwali themed to mark the festivities.
We have rounded up 5 places in Dubai to celebrate this festival of lights.
The Waterfront Market
Planning for a festive shopping? The Waterfront Market will have pop-ups with fresh food market selling everything sweet to Indian clothing and accessories. Visitors can watch a rangoli artist in action or dance to the tunes of Bollywood to bhangra with live performance from dancers. If you want to try a new skill, you can part-take in workshops such as diya (lamp ) painting, Diwali card-making and jewelry-making.
Entry is free from 28th October to 05th November from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

Expo 2020 Dubai
The global fair will be celebrating the festival of lights with some lights of its own. The global fair will be celebrating the festival of lights with some lights of its own. Meanwhile, on the Jubilee Stage, Late Nights @ Expo will feature performances inspired by Diwali, with artists such as When Chai Met Toast, Shilpa Ananth and Dhol Tasha attending.

Bluewaters Island
A must see performance for Diwali where the Island will be lighting up the skies. Fireworks will take place from 8.30 am on 04th November. On the Diwali weekend, visitors will also enjoy live music and food experiences.

Dubai Festival City Mall
The mall will kick start the festival with a special Imagine show. Visitors will be able to enjoy the one-off laser show to the beat of the Bollywood song Let’s Nacho. The Pointe
A memorable experience at The Pointe with a dedicated fountain show. The show will take place on 05th November by The Palm Fountain to the beats of the song Malhari, playing each hour from 8pm to 10pm.Witness the performance by the world’s largest dancing fountain with free entry.
