The new season of Fazza Championship will last until 14th January, 2022
The new season of Fazza Championship for Falconry – Telwah has started in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai. This is organised by Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre ( HHC ).
The sport originated 20,000 years ago and practiced by the Bedouins in the wider Arabian Peninsula as a form of hunting. With such strong roots, the Fazza Championship for Falconry – Telwah has grown in size, popularity and prestige.
It is one of the the UAE’s oldest and most honored heritage sports. “The new season will be highly competitive and challenging.
Falconry, as a traditional sport, has always been associated with the traditional Arabian values of courage, honour and nobility as well as nature conservation, respect for animals and the camaraderie among falconers. These are the values promoted at this sport.
This sport also celebrates the heritage passed on from many generations.
