Yango Group has launched a new public transport service feature within its Yango app in Dubai.
Announced on Wednesday, the service integrates public transit information with Yango’s existing ride-hailing, rental, and delivery services.
The new feature provides users with comprehensive transport options, including route information, schedules, and estimated travel times for buses, metro, and other public transport options.
Users can access this service by simply entering their destination in the app, which then provides clear guidance throughout the journey.
“Our goal with this new public transport service is to create a seamless transportation experience for users, integrating all necessary travel information into one easy-to-use platform,” said Islam Abdul Karim, General Manager of Yango GCC,
The launch coincides with a recent increase in public transport ridership in Dubai, with passenger numbers rising from 6.4 million in 2023 to 6.7 million in 2024 during the Eid Al Adha public holiday.
Yango’s initiative aligns with the UAE’s green mobility goals, with 15% of its partner fleet comprising electric vehicles. The company plans to expand this service to Abu Dhabi in the future.
