Dubai Police Adds Another Electric Vehicle to Its Fleet
Dubai Police has added a state-of-the-art Audi RS e-tron GT electric vehicle to its fleet of patrol cars. The new patrol car was unveiled at the ATM 2023 held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The new patrol car comes in the signature green livery of the Dubai Police and is a part of the police force’s commitment to equip their tourist security patrols with the latest luxury models.
The new electric patrol cars will patrol popular tourist areas like JBR, Downtown and Dubai Marina.
The fully electric vehicle boasts 646 horsepower and an 800-volt lithium-ion battery, offering a range of up to 472 km and reaching a speed of 3.3 km/h. It takes just 22.5 minutes to charge the battery from 5% to 80%.
This is the second environmentally friendly vehicle added to the Dubai Police fleet. Brigadier Khalafan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, emphasized the role of luxury security patrols in enhancing the security presence in tourist areas during events and community initiatives.
They play a crucial role in providing services to tourists and the general public, answering their inquiries, providing information, and ensuring their safety throughout their stay in Dubai.
Dubai Police will showcase 12 services and products they provide to tourists and visitors at the ATM 2023, aiming to enhance their experiences in the Emirate.
The introduction of electric patrol cars is a significant step towards achieving the goal of a sustainable and green city.
